Virus protection for file servers is an essential part of any full-scale information security system. Effective protection for servers is the key to a complete information security solution for corporate networks. This solution protects file servers from all types of malicious code, including Java applets and ActiveX controls. Scanning takes place either on demand, or according to the schedule defined by the system administrator. Individual objects can be scanned whenever necessary. Malicious code can be deleted, including from TAR and ZIP formats, or can be quarantined in a dedicated directory, pending further analysis.
