1. Basic AIX Manipulations
- Save the output from an AIX command in a file
- Use the contents of a file as input to an AIX command
- Use a pipeline to pass output from one AIX command to another command
- Start, stop, and page using AIX command output
- Use mail to send to local users
- Use mail to delete or forward mail
- Set your password
2. AIX on-line Documentation
- Start and stop Documentation Library Service and Search Service
- Use and understand the types of information available in the different sections of the Documentation Library Service (e.g., Description, Purpose, Syntax, Flags, Related Information)
- Use and understand Man Pages
3. AIX File System
- Distinguish between a regular AIX file and an AIX directory
- Choose appropriate names for AIX files
- Identify and manipulate AIX files using path names
- Find the current directory on the AIX system
