Purpose

The purpose of this article is to teach you the process of registering a new Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

Registering a New SQL Server 2000

1. Click Start, go to Programs, go to Microsoft SQL Server and then click Enterprise Manager.
2. Right-Click SQL Server Group and  choose New SQL Server Registration.

   3. Click Next and type the name of your SQL Server. Click add and Next.

   4. Choose the appropriate authentication mode: Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication.

   5. Click Next and Finish.
