Purpose
The purpose of this article is to teach you the process of setting up the polling interval using service manager in Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
To Set the Polling Interval
The polling interval determines how often SQL Server Service Manager checks the state of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Agent, and Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC).
Following steps describe you the step by step details of setting up the polling interval:
1. Right click the SQL Server Icon in quick launch bar, and click Options.

2. Now, set a value for Polling interval (seconds): option, and select the Verify service control action option.

3. Click OK.
